Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Marshfield Bluejays (Marshfield, MO) and the host Branson Pirates (Branson, MO), saw Marshfield's basketball squad knock off Branson by a count of 60-51.

With the victory, Marshfield upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Bluejays host New Covenant Academy (Springfield, MO) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 6. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Pirates play the Willard Tigers (Willard, MO) in a Central Ozarks challenge, on Monday, January 9. Branson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 57-53 non-league loss to West Plains (West Plains, MO).
