In Thursday's non-league outing, the Eastmark Firebirds (Mesa, AZ) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Cortez Colts (Phoenix, AZ), by a count of 79-22.
The Firebirds (10-5) will now prepare for their outing against Seton Catholic (Chandler, AZ). The Sentinels go into the non-league outing with a 10-5 record. In their last outing, Seton Catholic smashed Montini Catholic (Lombard, IL), 48-46, in a non-league outing.
The Colts now hold a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Moon Valley for a non-league outing on Monday, January 9. Cortez will clash with a Rockets squad coming off a 52-18 non-league loss to Deer Valley (Glendale, AZ). The Rockets record now stands at 3-4.
