East Central Eagles (Sandstone, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting St. John's Prep Johnnies (Collegeville, MN), 54-20 in a league bout.

With the victory, East Central upgrades its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Eagles host Hinckley-Finlayson (Hinckley, MN) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 2-7.

Next up, the Johnnies play the Bertha-Hewitt Bears (Bertha, MN) in a A Section 5 bout, on Friday, January 13. St. John's Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record.
