The Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers (Greenfield, IL) basketball nipped the visiting South Fork Ponies (Kincaid, IL), 38-32 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Tigers (8-5) will now prepare for their test against North Greene (White Hall, IL). The Spartans go into the Western Illinois Valley test with a 0-16 record.
The Ponies now own a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Decatur Lutheran for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. South Fork will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 44-12 non-league win over Heritage (Broadlands, IL). The Lions record now stands at 5-10.
