The Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL) basketball crushed the host Thornton Fractional North Meteors (Calumet City, IL), 68-31 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Lions (14-3) will now prepare for their test against Norcross (Norcross, GA). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 11-1 record. In their last test, Norcross walloped Mother McAuley (Chicago, IL), 54-45, in a non-league test.
The Meteors now own a 3-15 record. They play next when they travel to Payton College Prep for a non-league test on Saturday, January 7. Thornton Fractional North will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 60-21 non-league loss to New Trier (Winnetka, IL). The Grizzlies record now stands at 5-9.
