The Pine Grove Panthers basketball team (Ripley, MS), was nudged 43-37 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS)
The Tigers now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Pontotoc for a 4A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, January 10.
The Panthers (2-13) will now prepare for their battle against Baldwyn (Baldwyn, MS). The Bearcats come into the 2A Region 1 battle with a 3-3 record. In their last battle, Baldwyn was nudged by New Site (New Site, MS), 37-31, in a non-league battle.
