California High School Basketball - Ponderosa trounces Rio Linda

January 5, 2023: Rio Linda, CA 95673

The Ponderosa Bruins (Shingle Springs, CA) basketball crushed the host Rio Linda Knights (Rio Linda, CA), 57-24 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Bruins (17-2) will now prepare for their test against Placer (Auburn, CA). The Hillmen go into the Foothill Valley test with a 9-9 record. In their last test, Placer walloped Wheatland (Wheatland, CA), 44-13, in a non-league test.

The Knights now own a 6-7 record. They play next when they travel to Pioneer for a Golden Empire League test on Monday, January 9. Rio Linda will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 45-35 league win over Casa Roble (Orangevale, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 9-8.
