In Thursday's non-league outing, the Rockford Warriors (Rockford, IA) basketball squad edged the visiting Tripoli Panthers (Tripoli, IA), by a count of 47-42.
The Warriors (1-7) will now prepare for their outing against North Butler (Greene, IA). The Bearcats go into the Corn Bowl outing with a 3-7 record. In their last outing, North Butler was tipped by West Fork (Sheffield, IA), 53-17, in a league outing.
The Panthers now hold a 1-7 record. They play next when they host Riceville for a Iowa Star outing on Tuesday, January 10.
