The Sterlington Panthers basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting West Monroe Rebels to 49 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Panthers now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bastrop for a 3A District 1 contest on Tuesday, January 10.
The Rebels (5-9) will now prepare for their contest against Pineville (Pineville, LA). The Rebels enter the 5A District 2 contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Pineville ran past Tioga (Tioga, LA), 33-32, in a non-league contest.
