Genoa-Kingston Cogs (Genoa, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sandwich Indians (Sandwich, IL), 48-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Genoa-Kingston upgrades its record to 11-6 on the season. The Cogs travel to Harvest Christian Academy (Elgin, IL) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 10. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 0-2. Harvest Christian Academy lost 47-40 in their recent non-league bout against Westlake Christian Academy (Grayslake, IL)

Next up, the Indians play the Plano Reapers (Plano, IL) in a bout, on Friday, January 20. Sandwich will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
