Taos Tigers (Taos, NM) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Lovington Wildcats (Lovington, NM), 44-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Taos upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Tigers host Goddard (Roswell, NM) to play the Rockets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 6. The Rockets come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Goddard won 35-25 in their recent non-league bout against Belen (Belen, NM)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Los Alamos Hilltoppers (Los Alamos, NM) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 6. Lovington will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 65-57 non-league loss to Capital (Santa Fe, NM).
