Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles (Phoenix, AZ) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Heritage Academy Heroes (Laveen, AZ), 8-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Golden Eagles confront the Antelope Rams (Wellton, AZ) in a 3A Southwest challenge, on Monday, January 9. Bourgade Catholic will attempt to better on its 2-6 season record. The Rams enter the challenge with a 0-4 record after their 16-1 league loss to Odyssey Institute (Buckeye, AZ).

The Heroes now have a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Tonopah Valley for a 3A Southwest challenge on Monday, January 9. Heritage Academy will confront a Phoenix team coming off a 2-1 league win over St. John Paul II Catholic (Avondale, AZ). The Phoenix record now stands at 8-6.
