In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Canyon View Jaguars soccer squad scored a close 4-2 triumph over the Casa Grande Cougars.
The Jaguars (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Verrado (Buckeye, AZ). The Vipers come into the 5A Desert West battle with a 13-0 record. In their last battle, Verrado nudged Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ), 4-1, in a non-league battle.
The Cougars (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ). The Falcons come into the non-league battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Cactus Shadows by Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
