The Annawan Braves basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Biggsville West Central Heat to 44 in the Braves league triumph on Friday.
The Braves now sport a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South County for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Annawan will meet a Vipers team coming off a 53-47 non-league loss to Auburn (Auburn, IL). The Vipers record now stands at 12-6.
The Heat (0-17) will now prepare for their contest against Hartsburg-Emden (Hartsburg, IL). The Stags enter the non-league contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Hartsburg-Emden was routed by Mt. Pulaski (Mt. Pulaski, IL), 86-52, in a league contest.
