In Friday's league outing, the Waterbury Career Academy Spartans (Waterbury, CT) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Ansonia Chargers (Ansonia, CT), by a margin of 85-46.

The Spartans (6-2) will now prepare for their outing against Seymour (Seymour, CT). The Wildcats go into the Naugatuck Valley outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, Seymour was trounced by Crosby (Waterbury, CT), 75-66, in a league outing.

The Chargers now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Torrington for a Naugatuck Valley outing on Tuesday, January 9. Ansonia will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 70-67 league win over St. Paul Catholic (Bristol, CT). The Raiders record now stands at 5-2.
