The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans basketball team (Burnt Hills, NY), was overwhelmed 64-42 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Shaker Bison (Latham, NY)

The Bison now possess a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bethlehem Central for a Section 2 Suburban - Blue battle on Tuesday, January 9. Shaker will battle a Eagles team coming off a 67-56 league win over Ballston Spa (Ballston Spa, NY). The Eagles record now stands at 8-3.

The Spartans (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against Guilderland (Guilderland Center, NY). The Flying Dutchmen come into the Section 2 Suburban - Blue battle with a 1-10 record. In their last battle, Guilderland trounced Troy (Troy, NY), 56-42, in a league battle.
