Cabrillo Jaguars (Long Beach, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rancho Dominguez Lobos (Long Beach, CA), 59-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cabrillo upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Millikan (Long Beach, CA) to play the Rams in a Moore bout on Monday, January 8. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Millikan lost 56-42 in their recent non-league bout against North (Bakersfield, CA)

Next up, the Lobos confront the San Pedro Pirates (San Pedro, CA) in a Marine challenge, on Wednesday, January 10. Rancho Dominguez will attempt to improve on its 4-14 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 74-59 non-league win over Bravo (Los Angeles, CA).
