The Saugatuck Trailblazers held off the host Calvary Christian Eagles basketball team by a score of 49-43 in Friday's non-league contest.
The Trailblazers now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Potter's House Christian for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Saugatuck will battle a Pumas team coming off a 61-49 non-league loss to Black River (Holland, MI). The Pumas record now stands at 1-8.
The Eagles (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Catholic Central (Manistee, MI). The Sabers come into the non-league contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Catholic Central was nudged by Walkerville (Walkerville, MI), 57-33, in a league contest.
