The Cedar Grove Saints (Ellenwood, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting St. Andrew's Lions (Savannah, GA), 61-48 in Friday's non-league test.
The Saints (10-5) will now prepare for their test against Carver (Atlanta, GA). The Panthers go into the AAA Region 5 test with a 2-9 record. In their last test, Carver went down by Lakeside (Atlanta, GA), 57-32, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to King's Ridge Christian for a non-league test on Saturday, January 6. St. Andrew's will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 67-66 non-league loss to Hebron Christian (Dacula, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 10-4.
