Greenville Spartans (Greenville, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Chatham Panthers (Chatham, NY), 60-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Greenville upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Maple Hill (Castleton on Hudson, NY) to play the Wildcats in a Section 2 Patroon bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 8-2. Maple Hill won 59-37 in their recent league bout against Taconic Hills (Craryville, NY)

Next up, the Panthers play the Germantown Clippers (Germantown, NY) in a Section 2 Patroon bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Chatham will attempt to upgrade on its 4-4 season record. The Clippers come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 50-47 non-league loss to Hawthorne Valley (Ghent, NY).
