Howell Vikings (St. Charles, MO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Chrisman Bears (Independence, MO), 57-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Howell upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Vikings travel to Poplar Bluff (Poplar Bluff, MO) to play the Mules in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Mules go into the bout with a record of 9-4. Poplar Bluff won 69-45 in their recent non-league bout against Neosho (Neosho, MO)

Next up, the Bears play the Raytown South Cardinals (Raytown, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Chrisman will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 70-43 non-league loss to Piper (Kansas City, KS).
