The Farina South Central Cougars basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Cisne Runnin' Lions to 49 in the Cougars non-league victory on Friday.

The Cougars now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg for a National Trail contest on Tuesday, January 9. Farina South Central will battle a team coming off a 58-29 league loss to Brownstown/St. Elmo (St. Elmo, IL). The record now stands at 9-10.

The Runnin' Lions (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Grayville (Grayville, IL). The Bison come into the Midland Trail contest with a 11-8 record. In their last contest, Grayville dropped by Odin/Patoka (Odin, IL), 60-52, in a league contest.
