The DeWitt Clinton Governors basketball team scored 78 points and restricted the visiting Taft Golden Eagles to 44 in the Governors non-league victory on Friday.

The Governors now sport a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Weequahic for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. DeWitt Clinton will battle a Indians team coming off a 76-51 league win over Tech (Newark, NJ). The Indians record now stands at 2-4.

The Golden Eagles (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Evander Childs (Bronx, NY). The Tigers come into the PSAL AAA Bronx contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Evander Childs triumphed over Gompers (Bronx, NY), 83-70, in a league contest.
