The Ridgemont Golden Gophers basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Elgin Comets to 41 in the Golden Gophers league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Gophers now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverdale for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Ridgemont will battle a Falcons team coming off a 56-37 league win over Arcadia (Arcadia, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 3-5.

The Comets (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cory-Rawson (Rawson, OH). The Fighting Hornets enter the Northwest Central contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Cory-Rawson was defeated by Arcadia (Arcadia, OH), 55-51, in a non-league contest.
