Illinois High School Basketball - Little Village can't hold off Ellison

The Ellison Lions basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Little Village Phoenix to 48 in the Lions non-league victory on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Golder for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Ellison will battle a Panthers team coming off a 75-41 league win over Noble Street College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 5-6.
The Phoenix (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Phoenix Military (Chicago, IL). The Firebirds come into the Chicago Public - Blue West contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Phoenix Military was nudged by Urban Prep-Bronzeville (Chicago, IL), 85-44, in a non-league contest.
