Hardin Northern Polar Bears (Dola, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Waynesfield-Goshen Tigers (Waynesfield, OH), 63-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Hardin Northern upgrades its record to 2-7 on the season. The Polar Bears host Perry (Lima, OH) to play the Commodores in a Northwest Central bout on Friday, January 12. The Commodores go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Perry lost 56-43 in their recent league bout against Upper Scioto Valley (McGuffey, OH)

Next up, the Tigers play the Vanlue Wildcats (Vanlue, OH) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Waynesfield-Goshen will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 61-37 non-league loss to Lakota (Kansas, OH).
