Kansas High School Basketball - Life Prep nips Independent

January 5, 2024: Wichita, KS 67207

Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Life Prep Fire (Park City, KS) and the host Independent Panthers (Wichita, KS), saw Life Prep's basketball squad hold off Independent by a tally of 50-49.

With the victory, Life Prep improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Fire travel to Veritas Christian (Lawrence, KS) to play the Eagles in a Kansas Christian AA challenge on Tuesday, January 9. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 3-5.

Next up, the Panthers play the Cheney Cardinals (Cheney, KS) in a Central Plains challenge, on Tuesday, January 9. Independent will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 69-48 non-league win over Garden Plain (Garden Plain, KS).
