The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Wheeling Park won 62-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Parkersburg (Parkersburg, WV)

Next up, the Monarchs play the Oak Glen Golden Bears (New Cumberland, WV) in a Freelance test, on Tuesday, January 9. John Marshall will attempt to advance on its 1-8 season record. The Golden Bears go into the test with a 2-6 record after their 48-41 league loss to Catholic Central (Steubenville, OH).
