Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears (Laurel, NE) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Winnebago Indians (Winnebago, NE), 49-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Bears travel to Wayne (Wayne, NE) to clash with the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 11-3. Wayne lost 41-37 in their recent non-league bout against Boone Central (Albion, NE)

Next up, the Indians clash with the Tri County Northeast Wolfpack (Emerson, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Winnebago will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a 5-7 record after their 52-34 non-league loss to Wynot (Wynot, NE).
