Iowa High School Basketball - Lisbon can't hold off Maquoketa Valley

The Maquoketa Valley Wildcats basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Lisbon Lions to 51 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Friday.
The Wildcats now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Cedar for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Maquoketa Valley will battle a Knights team coming off a 75-26 non-league loss to East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA). The Knights record now stands at 3-7.
The Lions (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Alburnett (Alburnett, IA). The Pirates enter the Tri-Rivers contest with a 8-3 record. In their last contest, Alburnett nudged Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA), 66-36, in a non-league contest.
