The Providence Catholic Celtics basketball team (New Lenox, IL), was toppled 53-42 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL)

The Ramblers now possess a 15-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Glenbrook North for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 6. Loyola Academy will confront a Spartans team coming off a 38-34 league win over New Trier (Winnetka, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 15-2.

The Celtics (7-9) will now prepare for their battle against Brother Rice (Chicago, IL). The Crusaders come into the Chicago Catholic - Blue battle with a 17-2 record. In their last battle, Brother Rice beat Blue Island Eisenhower (Blue Island, IL), 80-71, in a non-league battle.
