The Marquette Defenders basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the host Springville Orioles to 38 in the Defenders non-league victory on Friday.
The Defenders now sport a 11-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edgewood-Colesburg for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Marquette will battle a Vikings team coming off a 56-47 league loss to Springville (Springville, IA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-10.
The Orioles (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Midland (Wyoming, IA). The Eagles come into the Tri-Rivers contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Midland was routed by Clayton-Ridge (Guttenburg, IA), 33-24, in a non-league contest.
