Texas High School Basketball - Memphis succumbs to Vega

The Vega Longhorns topped the host Memphis Cyclones basketball team by a final score of 53-36 in Friday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Longhorns face the Stratford Elks (Stratford, TX) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 9. Vega will attempt to move on its 8-6 season record. The Elks enter the game with a 2-4 record after their 67-42 non-league loss to Dalhart (Dalhart, TX).

With the defeat, Memphis moves to 7-9 on the year. The Cyclones travel to Clarendon (Clarendon, TX) to face the Broncos in a 2A Region I District 2 game on Friday, January 12. The Broncos enter the game with a record of 4-2. Clarendon won 38-26 in their recent non-league game against Nazareth (Nazareth, TX)
