The Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Velva Aggies to 66 in the Mavericks league triumph on Friday.

The Mavericks now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Divide County for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood will meet a Maroons team coming off a 64-25 league loss to Alexander (Alexander, ND). The Maroons record now stands at 0-8.

The Aggies (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Westhope/Newburg (Westhope, ND). The Sioux enter the B District 8 contest with a 7-0 record. In their last contest, Westhope/Newburg nudged Our Redeemer's Christian (Minot, ND), 76-49, in a league contest.
