Ninety Six Wildcats (Ninety Six, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Thornwell Saints (Clinton, SC), 75-12 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ninety Six upgrades its record to 3-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Newberry (Newberry, SC) to play the Bulldogs in a AA Region 2 bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Newberry won 61-43 in their recent non-league bout against Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC)

Next up, the Saints play the Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes (Calhoun Falls, SC) in a A Region 2 bout, on Monday, January 8. Thornwell will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Blue Flashes go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 56-50 league loss to Dixie (Due West, SC).
