Southeast Lancers (Cherokee, KS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Northeast Vikings (Arma, KS), 46-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southeast upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Lancers host Yates Center (Yates Center, KS) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 0-6. Yates Center lost 52-24 in their recent non-league bout against Uniontown (Uniontown, KS)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Uniontown Eagles (Uniontown, KS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Northeast will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 62-51 non-league win over Marmaton Valley (Moran, KS).
