In Friday's non-league outing, the Permian Panthers (Odessa, TX) basketball squad nipped the host Palo Duro Dons (Amarillo, TX), by a margin of 55-52.
The Panthers (15-7) will now prepare for their outing against San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX). The Bobcats go into the 6A Region I District 2 outing with a 18-8 record. In their last outing, San Angelo Central got by Burkburnett (Burkburnett, TX), 75-48, in a non-league outing.
The Dons now own a 15-4 record. They play next when they host Tascosa for a 5A Region I District 3 outing on Friday, January 12. Palo Duro will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 70-49 non-league win over Clovis (Clovis, NM). The Rebels record now stands at 18-6.
