Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD), 84-56 in a league bout.

With the win, Thomas Stone upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Westlake (Waldorf, MD) to clash with the Wolverines in a Southern Maryland bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 3-6. Westlake lost 55-52 in their recent league bout against Lackey (Indian Head, MD)

Next up, the Panthers clash with the Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) in a Southern Maryland bout, on Wednesday, January 10. Patuxent will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Braves go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 69-50 league win over Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD).
