Mississippi High School Basketball - Ripley tipped by Pine Grove

The Pine Grove Panthers basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Ripley Tigers to 41 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Walnut for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 6. Pine Grove will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 70-50 non-league win over Blue Mountain (Blue Mountain, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-8.

The Tigers (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS). The Indians enter the 4A Region 1 contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Itawamba Agricultural was nudged by Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS), 65-52, in a league contest.
