Regis Raiders (New York, NY) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Salesian Eagles (New Rochelle, NY), 65-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Regis upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Raiders host St. John's Prep (Astoria, NY) to play the Red Storm in a Catholic B bout on Friday, January 12. The Red Storm go into the bout with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Eagles play the Cardinal Spellman The Pilots (Bronx, NY) in a Catholic A bout, on Saturday, January 6. Salesian will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record.
