In Friday's non-league outing, the Ringgold Redskins (Ringgold, LA) basketball squad edged the visiting Woodlawn-Shreveport Knights (Shreveport, LA), by a count of 68-62.

The Redskins (16-8) will now prepare for their outing against Magnolia School of Excellence (Shreveport, LA). The go into the 1A District 1 outing with a 2-11 record. In their last outing, Magnolia School of Excellence was tipped by Green Oaks (Shreveport, LA), 75-39, in a non-league outing.

The Knights now hold a 13-10 record. They play next when they travel to Northwood for a 4A District 1 outing on Tuesday, January 9.
