The Thomas More Prep-Marian Monarchs basketball team (Hays, KS), was overwhelmed 66-43 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Sacred Heart Knights (Salina, KS)

The Knights now possess a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Republic County for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 9. Sacred Heart will battle a Buffaloes team coming off a 59-30 non-league loss to Ellsworth (Ellsworth, KS). The Buffaloes record now stands at 1-6.

The Monarchs (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Ellis (Ellis, KS). The Railroaders come into the non-league battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, Ellis trounced Smith Center (Smith Center, KS), 56-48, in a non-league battle.
