Sioux Central Rebels (Sioux Rapids, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA), 54-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Sioux Central upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Rebels travel to Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA) to clash with the Jaguars in a Twin Lakes bout on Friday, January 12. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 3-7.

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Newell-Fonda Mustangs (Newell, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. West Bend-Mallard will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 6-7 record after their 84-69 non-league win over Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA).
