The Zion Christian Mountaineers basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the visiting Algoma Christian Knights to 23 in the Mountaineers non-league victory on Friday.
The Mountaineers now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Black River for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 9. Zion Christian will battle a Rats team coming off a 65-21 non-league win over Grand River Prep (Kentwood, MI). The Rats record now stands at 4-2.
The Knights (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Heritage Christian Academy (Kalamazoo, MI). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
