The Alta-Aurelia Warriors (Alta, IA) basketball knocked off the visiting Southeast Valley Jaguars (Gowrie, IA), 56-42 in Friday's league test.
The Warriors (6-5) will now prepare for their test against Storm Lake St. Mary (Storm Lake, IA). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 1-8 record. In their last test, Storm Lake St. Mary went down by South Central Calhoun (Lake City, IA), 65-13, in a non-league test.
The Jaguars now own a 7-4 record. They play next when they travel to Roland-Story for a non-league test on Monday, January 8. Southeast Valley will encounter a Norsemen squad coming off a 72-36 league win over South Hamilton (Jewell, IA). The Norsemen record now stands at 11-0.
