The Hodgeman County Longhorns basketball team scored 47 points and held the host Ashland Blue Jays to 32 in the Longhorns non-league triumph on Friday.
The Longhorns now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pawnee Heights for a Southern Plains-Iroquois contest on Tuesday, January 9. Hodgeman County will battle a Tigers team coming off a 52-28 non-league loss to Bucklin (Bucklin, KS). The Tigers record now stands at 4-3.
The Blue Jays (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against South Central (Coldwater, KS). The Timberwolves enter the non-league contest with a 5-3 record. In their last contest, South Central ran past Medicine Lodge (Medicine Lodge, KS), 50-44, in a non-league contest.
