The Athens Bluejays basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Edgar Wildcats to 41 in the Bluejays non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bluejays now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Abbotsford for a Marawood - North contest on Thursday, January 11. Athens will battle a Falcons team coming off a 45-41 non-league win over Stratford (Stratford, WI). The Falcons record now stands at 7-5.
The Wildcats (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Wabeno/Laona (Wabeno, WI). The Rebels enter the non-league contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Wabeno/Laona was routed by Kickapoo (Viola, WI), 37-36, in a non-league contest.
