Garrett Railroaders (Garrett, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Central Noble Cougars (Albion, IN), 39-29 in a league bout.

With the victory, Garrett upgrades its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Railroaders travel to Angola (Angola, IN) to play the Hornets in a Northeast Corner bout on Wednesday, January 10. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 8-7. Angola won 48-46 in their recent league bout against Fremont (Fremont, IN)

Next up, the Cougars play the West Noble Chargers (Ligonier, IN) in a Northeast Corner bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Central Noble will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 1-15 record after their 33-30 league loss to Lakeland (LaGrange, IN).
