Goodrich Martians (Goodrich, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Mercy Marlins (Farmington Hills, MI), 56-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Goodrich upgrades its record to 7-0 on the campaign. The Martians travel to Grand Blanc (Grand Blanc, MI) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Grand Blanc won 50-40 in their recent non-league bout against South Lake (St. Clair Shores, MI)

Next up, the Marlins play the Regina (Warren, MI) in a Catholic Central bout, on Tuesday, January 9. Mercy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The come into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 49-34 league win over Divine Child (Dearborn, MI).
