North Carolina High School Basketball - Jordan-Matthews trounced by Lee County

January 5, 2024: Siler City, NC 27344

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Lee County Yellow Jackets basketball team scored a decisive 59-15 triumph over the Jordan-Matthews Jets.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets face the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a 3A/4A Sandhills match, on Tuesday, January 9. Lee County will attempt to move on its 5-4 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 3-8 record after their 73-26 league win over Southern Lee (Sanford, NC).

With the defeat, Jordan-Matthews moves to 6-7 on the year. The Jets travel to Bartlett Yancey (Yanceyville, NC) to face the Buccaneers in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina match on Tuesday, January 9. The Buccaneers enter the match with a record of 3-5. Bartlett Yancey lost 56-27 in their recent league match against Southeast Alamance (Haw River, NC)
